Farcry 3

I recently bought Farcry 3 for Xbox 360, and I have to say, it's really fun. Though I feel they could tone down the difficulty a bit, or at least give an easy option for beginners, it just has an air of awesome to it that is just so hard to put down. You can use so many different weapons (right now I'm using a recurved bow!) and drive so many vehicles (hang gliders, motor boats, and many others) and it feels like you're actually there! Really my only complaint is difficulty. The graphics are pretty good, but I feel that they could have been better. The game is so huge, though, that I can't see much else they could improve! You can hunt, harvest plants, even kill pirates!

Tekken Tag Tournament 2

This is actually a really fun game. I got it for Christmas and I can't put it down, even though it's a bit repetitive. Don't worry about playing the first game in the series; there isn't really much story behind it. It's a 3D fighter. The only thing that continuously confuses me is the controls. Instead of using the analog sticks, the D-Pad is used. I have it for Ps3, so it might be different on other systems.

Max Payne 3

There was a lot of hype about this game, so I decided to check it out. It was a bit difficult, so I kinda gave up halfway through and just stopped playing the game. But it was fun while it lasted. I guess I'm just that kind of person who doesn't like losing. I'm not saying it was bad, because it was a legitimately good game, I just don't enjoy losing. You play as Max Payne, this sort of agent or soldier or something that has to shoot a bunch of people and after shooting a few dozen every level, have some dramatic cutscene where he's drinking and he breaks a shot glass on his wall and goes to sleep. I may make it sound worse than it is. But try it sometime, you may like it. (You may think I'm not being very descriptive, but that's just because there's not much to describe. Just a game slightly better than the COD franchise after MW2.)

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Storm Generations

I know it sounds sort of bad and weird, but it's really a cool game. It has a sort of weird story mode, where you play a bunch of different people's stories, and it might get a bit confusing at points, but that's not what makes this game so fun to play. The thing that makes this game so fun is the free play mode. Basically, you can either play against a CPU or one of your friends, and you choose random characters every time and it shows how many times each person wins and loses. There's also another mode which is sort of self-explanatory, called Online Mode. You go online and battle with people, and you can choose if they have the same, worse, or better ranks than you. Over all, it's a good game, but not really the best game in my opinion.

Fallout 3

This is one of the games on top of my list, close to Oblivion. The weird thing about this game is that the next one in the series has a worse storyline and worse graphics. This game is about a universe that branched off of ours in the '50s, making a universe where the '50s were the model for the entire universe. There was no fighting in the government during the '50s, so the people in this universe were being repressed for a very long time until they finally just snapped and a nuclear war occurred. You play as a guy who was allegedly born in the vaults. Your dad escapes, and you follow in his tracks. I like this game because everything is so well put together and the fighting goes really smoothly, even in VATS mode, which is a mode that lets you zoom in on certain body parts and shoot them. Over all, one of the best games I've played yet.

inFAMOUS 2

If you haven't played any Infamous and don't know the plot, it's about a guy (Cole) who gets electric powers from some explosion and you can choose to be good or evil with different events happening depending on your decisions. In Infamous 2, you play as Cole again, but the graphics are so much better. It barely looks like the same guy, but not in a bad way. You get some really cool power enhancements throughout the story, like this thing called a pincer bolt where you shoot three bolts of electricity at once. Over all, it's a great game with great graphics.

Little Big Planet 2

Little Big Planet 2 is basically an add-on to LBP 1, with so many new things to build with and new game modes to mess around with. For instance, not only is there a normal co-op mode where everyone has to stay within a limited radius of everyone else or else they die, but there is a versus mode where anyone can go anywhere on the map and people get points for killing the others. There are so many DLC's in this game, like costumes, map packs, and stickers. Most cost money, but a considerable amount are free, namely the Creator Map Pack 1 and 2. Over all, I would recommend this game for all ages, but, as was LBP 1, this has a kind of childish vibe to it. Happy gaming!

Little Big Planet

Little Big Planet is a great game for all ages, focused on building for the community. There is a story mode, which you can play with up to 4 friends, either online or on the same system. I love this game because there are so many community levels to play and you can make so many new friends through it. It's a lot of fun to play with friends, but you can also play on your own, going through the story and community levels meant for 1 player. I would recommend this game to pretty much anyone, though it has a sort of childish vibe to it, so I wouldn't recommend it to people who only play video games to appease to other people. It's all about the game, man. All about the game.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Skyrim is the latest addition to the Elder Scrolls series, easily surpassing the others in graphics. Let's weigh the pros and the cons. Pros: It has a long, immersive storyline, many side quests, even an infinite side quest system designed to continue your play through even after you finish all of the guilds and the main storyline. Combat is smooth (most of the time), and animations make you feel like you're there. Cons: The infinite side quest system makes it seem like you are never done, which, in my opinion, gets really annoying. I feel satisfied only if I'm done, and that will never happen in Skyrim. Essentially, you never finish the game. Also, the combat may feel a bit choppy at times, though that doesn't affect gameplay very much. The character movements are very well animated, though sometimes you see the occasional broom-up-ass figure walking along, which is, unfortunately, quite noticeable. Over all, it is a great game for RPG lovers such as my self who may also want the thrill of the kill to go along with it.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Elder Scrolls is a series that has the fifth addition out already, Skyrim (I got it!), though this game is one of, if not the, best game I have ever played, even including the next one in the series. In Oblivion, you play as, well, whoever you want to be. You can be a Wood Elf (Bosmer), a High Elf (Altmer), a Dark Elf (Dunmer), an Orc (Orsimer), a Breton, a Nord, an Imperial, and a few other races, such as a Khajiit, a cat person, or a reptile like creature known as an Argonian. You can be good or bad, but if you are bad, you will have more enemies than if you are good (Kind of a given). Of course, if you are bad, you can join a faction (or guild) like the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild, and if you are good, you can join the Fighters Guild or the Mages Guild. It is an open world game by Bethesda Studios. (Note: All of the races that have names in parentheses that end with -mer are related) I really enjoy playing this game, and if you're into a game with heavy storyline and lots of dialogue, you'll like this game. The only thing I would say is bad about this game is the combat, which tends to look a bit staged. Also, it's not very heavy in the graphics department, which may drive away some players. Over all, however, it is really fun with loads of side quests to distract you and a main quest that is fun and, best of all, not required, which makes the game even better.

Homefront

Homefront is a game set in the near future of 2027, and South Korea and North Korea have allied to make United Korea. United Korea takes over most of the world, including America. In Homefront, you play as a retired pilot who is recruited into a rebel group. You fight the Koreans in many different campaign levels which, I must admit, are the low point of the game. It sort of just repeats the same scene over and over in different locations. It's still fun, just not as fun as you might expect from an FPS. The best thing about this game is the great multiplayer, 32 Versus 32 matches set in huge maps. Over all, it's a pretty good game that is helped a bit by the Multiplayer aspect, but hurt alot by the campaign.

L.A. Noire

Most people know what L.A. Noire is, but if you don't, it is a game set in the 1940's. You play as Cole Phelps, a man who was a lieutenant in WWII and, when he got home to, you guessed it, Los Angeles, he became a detective in the police department. You play through many different police ranks, such as a traffic cop and vice. It is a really fun open world game developed by Team Bondi, a group set in Australia. Over all, it is a great game that I would recommend for people that like heavy storylines intertwined with lots of action and shoot-em-up scenes.

Video Game Blogging Updates!

I know I haven't been on here in a REALLY long time, like 3 years or so, but I've recently gotten into it because of, weirdly, a homework assignment to create a blog. I had completely forgotten about this blog, and then I saw it and knew I wanted to continue it. The weird thing is that I have 52 page views, and the only reason that is weird is because I didn't ever think it would actually get really any views. Anyway, I've gotten so many new games since then, like FFXIII, LBP and LBP 2, and so much more!

L.A. Noire and Homefront

So, I recently got L.A. Noire and- you guessed it- Homefront, so I will set up a page for each and every game that I have. Also, I was supposed to get Black Ops (You know, COD), but they put an Xbox 360 game instead of a Ps3 game... So, Yeah.

This blog is about video games…. You can probably tell by the name. I will be doing this blog throughout the summer time. It will include pages like: Ps3, X-box 360, Wii, and Mac games. I will have flash games set up, and walkthroughs for games that are requested by you guys. If you have any suggestions or questions, please ask me when you get the chance. I have to write 230 words.
